ARTIST STATEMENT

I take photographs, produce moving images in 4K, draw on photos and paper. I change my moving images parameters colour, direction and speed using digital instruments. I am interested in social processes and intervening in them.
I produce colours for my mixed media works applying them to handmade papers, and canvases.
I invent signs of unknown forgotten languages of women, which I draw on primed canvases.
I try ‘religio’ (reconnection – not religion) for myself through my practice. For viewers/passers-by, this ‘religio’ is to be created through large-format multi-channel projections that temporarily change the urban or exhibition space.
In addition to the ephemeral (e.g. light, clouds, shadows), the subject to ‘random’ processes, the emerging, the passing, I love to capture what is missing or underrepresented in the general social discourse. This is why I have been documenting the creation of art actions and especially female art and artists (in their works) with both photos and video since the 1980s.
